Send Notifications to Slack
Connect Ataccama ONE to Slack to enable alert notifications through Slack channels. Once connected, you can configure audiences to receive notifications in Slack.
Prerequisites
-
You must have Admin permission in the Alerts & data observability permissions model. See Manage Alert Permissions for more information.
-
You need access to a Slack workspace where you want to receive notifications.
Connect to Slack
-
Select your organization name in the top-left corner to open the user menu.
-
Select Global settings.
-
In the left sidebar, under Application settings, select Integrations.
-
Find Slack in the list of available integrations and select Connect.
If the Connect button is disabled, you don’t have the required Admin permission.
-
You are redirected to the Slack sign-in page. Enter your workspace’s Slack URL and sign in.
-
Select the Workspace you want to connect from the dropdown.
-
Review the permissions requested by the Ataccama ONE app.
The app requests the following access:
-
Information "Ataccama ONE" can view: Content and info about channels & conversations
-
Actions "Ataccama ONE" can take: Perform actions in channels & conversations
-
-
Select Allow to grant access.
You are redirected back to Ataccama ONE.
-
Verify that Slack now shows a Connected status on the Integrations page.
Once connected, you can configure audiences to send notifications to Slack channels. See Create an Audience for more information.
Disconnect from Slack
If you need to disconnect the Slack integration:
-
Go to Global settings > Integrations.
-
Find Slack in the list and select Disconnect.
Disconnecting the integration prevents notifications from being sent to Slack. Audiences configured with Slack will no longer deliver notifications through that channel.
