Connect to Jira
Connect Ataccama ONE to Jira to enable alert escalation. Once connected, users can escalate alerts directly to Jira, creating tickets to track and resolve issues in your existing workflow.
Prerequisites
-
You must have Admin permission in the Alerts & data observability permissions model. See Manage Alert Permissions for more information.
-
You need an Atlassian account with access to the Jira instance you want to connect.
Connect to Jira
-
Select your organization name in the top-left corner to open the user menu.
-
Select Global settings.
-
In the left sidebar, under Application settings, select Integrations.
-
Find Jira in the list of available integrations and select Connect. If the Connect button is disabled, you don’t have the required Admin permission.
-
You are redirected to the Atlassian login page. Sign in with your Atlassian account credentials.
You can log in with your email, or continue with Passkey, Google, Microsoft, Apple, or Slack.
-
Review the permissions requested by Ataccama One Integration.
The integration requests the following access to your Atlassian account:
-
View: jira-user, jira-work
-
Update: jira-work
-
-
Select Accept to grant access.
You are redirected back to Ataccama ONE.
-
Verify that Jira now shows a Connected status on the Integrations page.
Once connected, users can escalate alerts to Jira from the alert detail page. When escalating, users select the Jira project and issue type, and fill in any required fields defined in your Jira configuration. See Escalate Alerts for more information.
Disconnect from Jira
If you need to disconnect the Jira integration:
-
Go to Global settings > Integrations.
-
Find Jira in the list and select Disconnect.
Disconnecting the integration prevents users from escalating new alerts to Jira. Existing tickets that were created through escalation are not affected.
