Welcome to ONE Reports

ONE Reports is a business intelligence tool that helps you present complex data to your audience using a streamlined and intuitive interface.

It allows you to easily create comprehensive data visualizations and transform complex data insights into accessible information. With ONE Reports you can present complex facts, integrate multiple data sources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders using live data.

Understanding ONE Reports

ONE Reports offers two main types of reports to present data in a meaningful and accessible manner:

  • Dashboards - Create interactive data visualizations on an infinite grid canvas with a fully customizable layout. Users can import visualizations, arrange them strategically, and enhance them with static widgets such as videos, images, and texts. One dashboard, DQ Report Template is always available, and forms the basis for the reports in Data Quality > DQ reports.

Cross-filtering is available for all widgets that share a common data source across the canvas, offering enhanced flexibility.

  • Stories - Create a dynamic, slide-based approach to data visualization, allowing for multiple views or perspectives of data to be presented sequentially. Users can create interactive stories with both visualizations and static widgets, each slide configured on its own unique grid canvas.

Both dashboards and stories are built using data Visualizations which provide preliminary analysis that helps you understand the data in your dataset and its characteristics, as well as find patterns in it. The modern and user-friendly interface allows you to build visualizations quickly and with a high level of detail. You can then seamlessly add these visualizations into any type of report.

Collections act as folders where you can group related visualizations. You can then share them with team members or groups, or transfer ownership.

Accessing ONE Reports

You can access ONE Reports via the main navigation in ONE.

Supported Data Sources

You can create visualizations in ONE Reports for catalog items in ONE from the following sources:

  • Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL

  • PostgreSQL

  • Snowflake

ONE Reports supports only username and password authentication for the listed data sources. Other authentication methods are not compatible and you won’t be able to see data on the Data tab for your selected item. This limitation applies only when building data visualizations based on catalog items. Visualizations for data quality results are not affected, as data quality results are not stored in the source database.

To be able to create a data visualization on a catalog item, you need to enable exporting of catalog items to ONE Reports. To do this, select Enable analytical queries when configuring the connection.

Important Considerations

  • When removing reports, they cannot be restored once you confirm your choice. Always verify that reports are no longer needed before deletion. Consider exporting important reports as backups before removal.

  • If a user with edit permissions modifies the dashboard that is set as the DQ Report Template, these changes will be reflected in all DQ reports. This can be a breaking change for existing reports. The same applies when setting a different dashboard as the DQ Report Template using the three dots menu and selecting Set as DQ Report. Always consider the impact of template changes before applying them.
