Upgrade Data Quality Gates

Follow this guide to upgrade DQ Gates to a newer version.

Before you begin

Before upgrading, check the relevant upgrade notes: Data Quality Gates Upgrade Notes. These notes detail breaking changes and other issues that could affect your upgrade.

Upgrade procedure

To upgrade, follow the DQ Gates installation procedure using the content from the new ataccama-one-snowflake-<version>.zip:

  1. Download the new ataccama-one-snowflake-<version>.zip package and extract the content.

  2. Install the new dependencies.

  3. Upload the new Ataccama ONE Python wheel files to your Snowflake stage and remove the old versions.

  4. Keep your existing .env file. No changes are needed unless the upgrade notes specify new or changed configuration variables.

  5. Run the new Jupyter Notebook to redeploy firewalls as UDFs.

    If you have customized the Jupyter Notebook (for example, with custom firewall filters, conflict strategies, or URL resolvers), review the new Jupyter Notebook for any changes and reapply your customizations before running it.
