Creating Data Issues

While issues can be generated by MDM processing, it is also possible to create and assign issues directly in the MDM Web App based on an external report or mistakes spotted while working with data in MDM.

Creating Data Quality Issues

Data quality issues affect one record. In the case of master records, it is also possible to create an issue for a related record.

  1. Open the entry detail.

  2. If necessary, switch to a related record.

  3. Select Actions > Create issue.

The Create issue option is only available for records with no previous issues.

Creating Manual Merge Issues

Manual merge issues affect multiple master records, either with the purpose of merging them or merging one of the instance records to a different master.

  1. Open several master records in the compare view.

  2. Select Actions > Create issue.

The Create issue option is only available when comparing records with no previous issues.
