Creating Additional Reference Data Views

RDM supports viewing data in alternative ways to that provided by tables, and the following artifacts can be created:

  • Views - Provide users of the RDM web application with a logical subset of chosen tables. Views are composed of two or more tables joined into one record grouping.

  • Hierarchies - Allow users of the web application to view data based on parent-child relationships between tables.

  • Categories - Group related tables, views, and hierarchies into categories and subcategories.

  • Data Sets - Custom reports formed by querying the RDM repository with SQL.
